This is a re-orchestration of the big band version above for brass quintet consisting of 2x Trumpets, French Horn, Trombone and Tuba. This can also come with parts which allows it to be performed with either 2 French Horns or 2 Trombones. 1st trumpet does not come out of the stave.

This riff-based swingin' Bb blues is a transcription/re-arrangment of a tune which was made up on the spot by the Thad Jones/Mel lewis Jazz Orchestra on the Jazz Casual DVD. It is a feature for Alto 2 and Trumpet 2 - a lot of fun to play. Lead Trumpet's highest note is a written D above the stave.

LIDO LOWDOWN - $80
This modal piece features some interesting call and response between the reeds and brass. This can be requested as either a Guitar or Alto feature. Lead Trumpet's highest note is a written B above the stave.

THE PREACHER IS BROKEN - $80
This is based on the Horace Silver tune "The Preacher". It begins with half the saxophone section doubling on clarinets while the drummer improvises freely. This then moves into a swinging gospel shuffle featuring a Trumpet 2 and Tenor 1 solo. Lead Trumpet's highest note is a written D above the stave.

Lemon Water is a Trombone 1 feature. The improvising section alternates between Bbmin7 and F7. Dynanics are a feature in this tune. Lead Trumpet's highest note is a written Ab just above the stave.

SAY THAT AGAIN - $80
Say That Again starts off screaming but soon moves to a saxophone ostinato accompaning the brass melody. Solos are taken by Trumpet 2 and Trombone 1 over and extended mior blues form. Lead Trumpet's highest note is a written E above the stave.

AU PRIVAVE - $80
This unusual arrangment of Au Privave is a solo feature for 1st Tenor. The usual 12-bar blues chord progression is replaced with a pedal which allows the soloist to play very freely. Lead Trumpet's highest note is a written D above the stave.

MACHE MAMBO - $80
